Sixty-one letters have been added to the online archive at alyoung.com. The site's digital archive of original historical documents pertains to
My Father's Captivity by
Al R. Young, published in mid-June.
The letters include correspondence with the U.S. Government in
Washington D.C., a
letter from
Persident Harry S. Truman,
military orders from
General Douglas MacArthur, and the letters from
Alfred R. Young to his parents,
Samuel Peter Young and
Ollie Beulah Cole. Additionally, views of
Alfred's dog tags and an
engraved coin from the
19th Bomb Group.
This brings the total number of artifacts in the online collection to 361, the total number of
documents to 225, the total number of
