The images will be available as 5 in. x 7 in. prints and 8 in. x 10 in. prints. In addition, one CGI print, I went to hunt beasts in the forests as a 9 in. x 12 in. print, will also be for sale.

These prints will be available for signing by the artists on the 3rd floor of the BYU Bookstore from noon Wednesday through Friday of EDucation Week. The two artists will also participate in the Artwork Unveiling on Wednsday, August 20th, at 10:00AM MDT at the BYU Bookstore. Admission to the unveiling is free.

The Daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 27,36) is the most recently completed oil painting in Elspeth Young’s series of women in scripture. The painting is an oil on panel measuring approximately 32 in. x 48 in. The original painting is aviable for sale for $13,000 $US.

"The theme of the painting," said Elspeth, "Is that God has already prepared all the blessings we seek in prayer, and is simply waiting to bestow them on the obedient who ask."

As a visualization of the story of the daughters of Zelophehad, the theme of the painting centers around the fact that all the blessings described in the 26th chapter of Leviticus are available to anyone who asks, with a willingness to keep God’s commandments.

The series of paintings featuring women in scripture has been an ongoing research and painting project since 2003. To date, 19 images have been produced out of the 27 scheduled for production. Research for this painting began in the fall of 2006, and the painting itself was completed in four months.

Images from the series have already been featured in publications ranging from magazines to books, and from individual research to diocesan publications.
