Biodiversity Calculator

This calculator is free to use and is designed for biologists, ecologists, teachers, and students needing to quickly calculate the biodiversity indexes of an ecosystem. First, enter the number of species, and then enter the name you wish to give the species, if available, and the given populations for each of the species—in any given order. The script will return the Simpson and Shannon-Wiener values (among almost two dozen others) for the given data. If you would like to request any features for the calculator or make any other comments about it, please contact us.

Error: The number of species must be a numeric value greater than 1.
