When I began experimenting with lithography in 1996, I focused on tonal rendering instead of line drawing because tonal pencil drawings had occupied much of my attention as an artist up until that time.

Processing, proofing, and printing were done by hand by Wayne Kimball in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Trial proofing took place on 18 May 1997, and edition printing was completed on 21 May 1997.

The following photographs summarize the lithographic printing process by which Al R. Young and W. Wayne Kimball collaborated to produce 55 of the limited edition prints available from Al Young Studios. Wayne also collaborated with Ashton Young to produce a limited-edition of prints in 1999.
