Before requesting a rush order from Al Young Studios, please be aware of the following:

Expedited shipping is already built into our shopping cart.  Consequently, expediting the shipping of a product does not require a request to rush an order.

With rare exception, all Studios' inventory is printed on demand; therefore, rushing an order means printing the product more quickly than usual.  And inasmuch as Al Young Studios out-sources all printing services, rushing an order involves not only arranging for a third party to produce the item more quickly, but printing it without delaying other orders whose delivery is already scheduled.

Vendor availability (particularly surrounding holiday closures) and the volume of orders already scheduled are important factors in the decision to rush an order.

Al Young Studios' decision to rush an order is not a guarantee that the order will arrive when desired.  The Studios can only guarantee a sincere attempt to get the order printed more quickly.

In view of the foregoing factors, there is risk in rushing an order.  Consequently, the following policies and conditions apply to a rush-order request and to the customer's acceptance of the associated risk:

Framing cannot be part of a rushed order (i.e., if an order includes framing, Al Young Studios cannot rush it).

A minimum  15 (fifteen) percent surcharge on the total order amount—not just on the cost of an item or items in an order—must be paid by the customer when the order is placed.

Al Young Studios will not refund either the payment for an order or the surcharge, even if an order arrives late.

Al Young Studios cannot guarantee same-day shipment of any product.

Rushed, wide-format poster prints can usually ship or be available for in-store pick-up in one or two business days (depending upon the volume of orders pending).

Rushed giclee prints can usually ship or be available for in-store pick-up in three business days (depending upon the volume of orders pending).

Rushed, small-format paper prints can usually ship or be available for in-store pick-up in one business day (depending upon the volume of orders pending).

Small quantities of rushed issues of The Storybook Home Journal can usually ship or be available for in-store pick-up in one business day (depending upon the volume of orders pending).
